How to get there by car / bus

Ehrenburg Palace, 96450 Coburg

Coming from Munich: At the Nuremberg/Fürth/Erlangen motorway junction continue in the direction of Erlangen, then take the A73 in the direction of Erfurt as far as exit 11 (Untersiemau), follow the signs to Coburg, and head for the centre of the town.

Coming from Erfurt: A71 to the Suhl junction, then A 73 (exit 7) to Coburg, and head for the centre of the town.

Coming from Würzburg: B 303 to Coburg, and head for the centre of the town.

Coming from Bayreuth: B 85 in the direction of Kulmbach/Kronach, then B 303 to Coburg, and head for the centre of the town.

Parking facilities: There is no visitors’ carpark at Ehrenburg Palace; please use the signposted garages in the centre of town; there are parking places for buses at the large Anger carpark.

Rosenau Palace, Rosenau 1, 96472 Rödental

Coming from Munich: A 73 to exit 9 (Rödental), turn right in the direction of Neustadt, then take the second turning on the left (Rosenau).

Coming from Erfurt: A71 to the Suhl junction, then A73 to exit 9 (Rödental), turn left in the direction of Neustadt, then take the second turning on the left (Rosenau).

Coming from Würzburg: B 303 to Coburg, continue on the A73 in the direction of Nuremberg as far as exit 9 (Rödental), turn left in the direction of Neustadt, then take the second turning on the left (Rosenau).

Coming from Bayreuth: B 85 in the direction of Kulmbach/Kronach, then B 303 to Coburg, and A73 in the direction of Sonneberg as far as exit 9 (Rödental), turn right in the direction of Neustadt, then take the second turning on the left (Rosenau).

Parking facilities: There are chargeable parking places for cars and buses at the park entrance.

How to get there by public transport

Ehrenburg Palace: From Coburg station there are municipal buses going to the town centre; it is otherwise a walk of around 25 minutes from the station to the palace.

Rosenau Palace and Park: From Rödental station it is an approximately 30-minute walk along a footpath (in the direction of Froschgrundsee).
